The All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Institute® (ASI), a not-for-profit division of the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America® (SVIA), was formed in 1988 to implement an expanded national program of all-terrain vehicle (ATV) safety education and awareness.  ASI’s primary goal is to promote the safe and responsible use of ATV’s, thereby reducing accidents and injuries that may result from improper ATV operation by the rider.  For safety information or to enroll in an ATV Rider Course, call (800) 887-2887 or visit www.atvsafety.org

All OHV operators are encouraged to complete an OHV safety education course before operating on public lands, roads or trails. All riders in who are under the age of 16 must be under direct supervision of an adult when operating on non-local jurisdiction roads. You may also be eligible for savings on off-road vehicle insurance for having your ATV/OHV Safety Certificate.

ATVcourse.com takes you out of the textbook and into the driver’s seat. Our course features tons of dynamic content, including interactive and narrated animations. That means you aren’t just reading, you’re listening, watching and engaging – which means you’ll learn more and have more fun. We’ve helped over 1 million people get certified online.
